I went out right after the Super Bowl game to photograph the anticipated riots here in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh. It was mostly Pitt students, with a mix of CMU’ers and even some random adults from the area. I was super-impressed by how well the cops handled the crowds – sure there were torn down signs, leveled busstops, broken library windows and bonfires in the streets, but I still haven’t heard of any major personal injuries.
